Subject: New Artist With New CD On New Label Needs New Musicians

Message: I need musicians to play local gigs to promote a new Smooth Jazz/ R&B CD Release. Compensation will be discussed after you have successfully completed the screening process. However, I will tell you that initially the pay will not be enough to live on, because the current market in and around Baltimore, will not allow us to charge the club owners too much for entertainment, or we will be priced out, and the club owners will just hire a DJ in place of live musicians. So you must have another source of income. Because at this point, we will be playing to establish brand name recognition (Not To Get Rich), so that we can get to the higher paying gigs. But as the CD becomes more popular and show frequency increases, and cd sales increase, the pay will increase.
I need people who love people, love music, love to learn, and love to play, and who can work independenly to learn their parts.
I do not need gangsters, gang bangers, drug addicts, drunks, or any other people who do not have values. Nor do I need children who need hand holding or who need to be constantly supervised, harassed, and contantly reminded when rehearsals, band meetings, or shows are scheduled. I also do not need people who let their friends think for them, or people who cannot make a decision on their own. or people who do not have a definite idea of what they want to do with their lives.
The above list was taken from our previous experiences with the candidates that have applied thus far.
We also need to people who have enough character, self respect, and respect for others to let us know if this opportunity is not for them before we invest any time or money in you. Ofcourse, if your characteristics are listed above, we know that we will not have this common courtesy from you. But you probably will be weeded out during the initial screening process anyway.

We need the follwing positions filled:
1 Rhythm/Lead Guitarist
1 Bass Guitarist
1 Drummer/Percussionist
3 Background Singers/2 Females-1 Male
2 Keyboard Players that can emulate other instruments.
All interested parties must have their own equipment,(although if we have a candidate that is seriously interested in the project), (with talent), we will work hard with them to obtain or upgrade their equipment.
